What would you do?

I was in the check out line today, buying hairspray (as if you care what I was buying). If you recall, I've never been one to back away from confrontation. This guy walks by and hisses under his breath, "your shoes are horrible". Now, this "guy" was no prize by any stretch of the imagination. His boyfriend was probably pretty ugly too. He had long scraggly burgundy hair and was just awful looking. So, as he walks by and hisses at me, I turn to him and was all - Excuse me? Were you talking to me? Cuz I don't recall asking for your opinion! And by the way, have you SEEN your hair?

Who does that? Do you have to say everything that comes to mind? Even if you think it, why say it? (Of course, I guess I should take my own advice, huh? I didn't have to insult his hair)

You may or may not recall that my sister and I DO NOT GET ALONG. I told her what happened  and she immediately went into this rant about how I'm always so tightly wound and that I am so rude and that I should have just killed him with kindness. I will say that I have never met one person that tries to kill someone with kindness. They try to kill them with condescension. Anyway, it ended up in a huge fight and her telling me everything that is wrong with me. There is MUCH more to this story but I won't bore you with details.

What would you have done? Let it go? Allow someone to just walk all over you and just take their abuse? Or would you stand up for yourself and not allow it at all?

I know that I am a sucky blogger...blah, blah, blah. : )   Hopefully I will find my voice again soon. I've really been going through a dry spell lately. I'm still reading though. Oh, and if you want a blog to inspire your socks off?  Check out http://www.kellehampton.com/  Why can't I be more like her?

We are going to Boulder, CO this week. I'm pumped because I've always wanted to go and now I get to. Woo hoo! We spent New Year's with my family in Alabama and it was actually enjoyable. Suprised me too.

The kids are awesome and growing and changing so much every day. BB is almost 17 months old. Where does the time go. She is into everything and learning and doing so much every day. She calls her brother "Ah-boo". She goes in for a kiss from the dogs with her mouth wide open (GROSS) and she is definitely letting her opinions be known. She is not a big talker but has a handful of words that she speaks. She is doing well with sign language too. She loves playing outside and with her brother. They love each other so much!

One of my Christmas gifts was PhotoShop. I am clueless.  I wish I had more time to play with it.  I know just enough to make a photo look horrible. Well, I can make a few look ok.

She's absolutely adorable! You did a great job with Photoshop! I can't figure it out for the life of my. I'm SO not computer savvy.

Wow, how insanely rude of that dude! A few weekends ago mom and I were shopping at a hobby store, and a guy body slammed me in one aisle, then ran over my feet with a broom in another aisle. I was all pregnanty-hormony and ready to take it out on him, but while I was yelling mom dragged me out of the store. It was really satisfying to yell, though. I hope it's just a hormone thing and goes away soon.

Wow, how beautiful your TWO children are. Just found your blog, hoping that I am misinterpreting things.... Seems its all about your daughter...and a slight mention of your son, almost out of obligation. Three pics of daughter, one of son.
Again sorry if I have misinterpreted your posts, but they both came in your life the same month, both deserve to look back and read your blog and feel special, so far I don't see it
